Nicolas Cage in talks to star in true detective season 5

The wait for the next season of HBO's anthology crime series True Detective is about to get even more exciting. 

Oscar-winning actor Nicolas Cage is reportedly in talks to star in Season 5, playing the lead role of New York detective Henry Logan.

According to reports, Season 5 will be set in Jamaica Bay, New York, offering a gritty urban backdrop for the anthology's next tale. Issa López is expected to return as showrunner, bringing her unique vision and atmospheric storytelling to the series. 

The season is anticipated to premiere in 2027, with production set to begin in 2026.

This role would mark the actor's second major television appearance, following his upcoming turn as Spider-Man Noir in a live-action series for MGM+ and Amazon Prime Video. 

Cage's involvement in True Detective Season 5 could further elevate the series, blending his unpredictable energy with the show's haunting tone.

True Detective has a history of attracting top talent, with past seasons featuring acclaimed actors like:
