Kevin Hart and John Cena have joined forces for a new Netflix backed project called The Leading Man.
The forthcoming action comedy, written by Jon and Erich Hoeber, is reportedly in the early development phase.
Besides acting, the globally acclaimed comedian and wrestling champion will also be serving as producers on the fresh project.
According to Deadline, the synopsis of the movie read, "When a self-absorbed movie star (Cena) discovers that his co-star/man in the chair (Hart) is an actual agent, he’s forced to swallow his pride and accept that action stars aren’t really action heroes…while trying to save the world."
The Leading Man is based on a comic book series from B. Clay Moore and Jeremy Huan.
Meanwhile, Cena was recently seen in another action-comedy flick backed by Prime Video titled, Heads of State. The film featured him alongside Idris Elba, Jack Quaid and Priyanka Chopra.
On the other hand, Hart is currently busy working on new film called 72 Hours that also stars Mason Gooding and Marcello Hernandez.
