Joker and Harley Quinn to return in new DCU 'Batman' film?
'Weapons' director allegedly writes script for new film bringing back iconic DC characters
James Gunn’s DC universe will be getting a new Batman related project featuring some important characters.
Following the release of the new Superman movie, a fresh film based on DCU Batman, titled The Brave and The Bold has been confirmed.
Where Gunn’s new movie has been confirmed, many are unaware of the fact that another Gotham-related project in underway.
According to the reports, Weapons creator Zach Cregger has written the screenplay of a film belonging to the Batman universe called, The Henchmen.
The Hollywood Reporter shared that the new movie "would center on a low-level henchman in the Gotham crime world who gains notoriety after managing to incapacitate Batman through a stroke of luck."
Not only there are chances of the "Batman" to appear in the movie, but other comic book characters namely the "Joker" and "Harley Quinn" are also allegedly part of the script.
Zach’s has expressed his full interest in being a part of DCU with this intriguing script, however, he has not yet formally received a green light from DC CEO James and Peter Safran.
Meanwhile, the Robert Pattinson’s The Batman Part II is set to release on October 1, 2027.
