James Gunn cleared the air about young superhero Robin and fan-favourite villain Hush appearance in the upcoming The Batman Part II.
The Superman director took to his Instagram thread to respond to claims regarding the film.
"Guys please stop believing this nonsense," Gunn wrote. "I think six of us have read the script. No one knows anything about the Batman 2."
The co-CEO of DC Studios, also shut down rumours about fan-favourite villain Hush, saying, "Everything you've heard is a total guess or made up."
In an earlier post in the same thread, he said, "No one in the world knows anything about the concept for the story except four people."
Though Batman has received countless big-screen adaptations over the years, Robin has seldom been given the same treatment.
The ,mantle of the superhero sidekick, Robin, has been taken by numerous characters, including Dick Grayson and Tim Drake.
It has also appeared in various animated projects like the Teen Titans and Batman: The Animated Series shows, as well as movies like The Lego Batman Movie and Teen Titans Go to the Movies.
About Batman, the filmmaker previously announced that DC Studios will produce two Batman movie series concurrently, one in the standalone universe made by Reeves' 2022 film The Batman starring Robert Pattinson and the other within Gunn's DCU.
That second Batman series, which will launch with Andy Muschietti's The Brave and the Bold, will see a different actor take on the superhero and will possibly a crossover with other DCU characters like David Corenswet's Superman.
The Batman Part II will finally begin production in the spring of 2026 and is currently slated to hit theatres on October 1, 2027.
