Macaulay Culkin admitted that there is one key role in his career he wished he didn't say miss out on.
Culkin, who had his career start with hit films like My Girl, Ritche Rich and Home Alone franchise, opened up about one iconic '90s film he regrets skipping.
In an appearance on the latest episode of Hot Ones, the father of two was asked if there was any role he regretted losing during his hiatus from acting in mid-90s.
"I was actually pretty good at reading, I was voraciously reading through the scripts, but there was a couple that slipped through," the actor said.
"I remember about two years later, clearing out the house and throwing out the old scripts and I saw the one that I didn’t read was Rushmore, I was like, 'Oh dang,'" Culkin recalled.
The Good Son star continued, "Like I probably could have done that one."
Despite of sharing his sorrow on overlooking the opportunity, he went on to laud the original lead actor of the hit film.
"Couldn't imagine anyone but [Jason] Schwartzman doing that part, but at the same time I'm like, 'Oh man, that would have been a ball and a biscuit, that one,'" Culkin said.
Schwartzman played the lead role of Max Fischer in the comedy/indie classic, which follows the life of the studious student at Rushmore Academy as he falls for his teacher, Ms Cross, who his mentor is also in love with.
