Eddie Murphy has recently shared interesting anecdote about Beyonce while working with her on Dreamgirls project.
The Nutty Professor actor made an appearance on latest episode of 360 With Speedy on August 7 where he opened up about the on-set moment he observed between Dreamgirls costars between Jennifer Hudson and pop icon.
“I did Dreamgirls right when I was getting divorced,” recalled the 64-year-old which was in 2005 from Nicole Murphy after 12 years of marriage.
Although Eddie didn’t remember “a lot of making the movie,” he mentioned about one memory from the movie that he could not forget.
“My Beyonce memory — and neither one of them knows that I know this — I watched Jennifer and the songstress, they were in between shots, they were on stage, and Jennifer was new in show business and she had, I guess a finger, right between, was ashy, and she was licking her fingers and getting the ash like that," revealed the Shrek star.
At the time, Beyonce soon grabbed Jennifer’s hand and said, “Don’t do that… I will get you some cream.”
“And it was quiet between the two of them, but I saw it,” continued Eddie.
However, the actor and comedian pointed out that this “might be the first time I share that with anyone”.
“That's my Beyoncé memory,” he added.
Meanwhile, Dreamgirls hit theatres back in 2006. Jennifer won the Best Supporting Actress for her Dreamgirls role at the 79th Academy Awards in 2007. The movie also earned eight nominations that year.
