WWE legend John Cena has shared how he overestimated that his wrestling career will guarantee success in Hollywood.
Cena, who rose to fame as a wrestler in the early 2000s, opened that he presumed that he could simulate his success in Showbiz.
However, the 48-year-old also unveiled that he ran out of business in 2009.
"I was run out of the movie business in 2009 for doing bad movies where I wasn’t present”, he added.
In conversation with PEOPLE, the Heads of State star confessed, "I thought that just because I wore a golden leather belt on Monday and Friday, they’d come see whatever I’m doing. It’s not true."
John is globally acclaimed for his muscular physique. He started working out on his fitness journey at the age of 13.
Even though, he experienced bullying in his teens but that taught him some important life lessons.
"I doubled down on being myself. And as a 12-, 13-, 14-year-old that doesn’t even have a fully formed mind yet, I just knew, ‘Hey, man, don’t waver. Just be you.’ That’s what helped me”, the Peacemaker actor added.
