Justin Baldoni attends Blake Lively’s deposition in person
Justin Baldoni showed up for Blake Lively’s deposition as their legal battle takes a dramatic turn.
The 37-year-old actress, who has been embroiled in a series of lawsuits since December 2024, was granted a protective order by Judge Lewis J. Liman, allowing her to decide the venue of the deposition.
According to TMZ, Baldoni attended the deposition in person, while Lively responded to questions inside her attorneys’ office on Thursday, July 31, in New York City.
Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, offered an inside glimpse into his strategy for the deposition back in June.
He told the outlet, "I'm gonna ask her questions under penalty of perjury, and she's gonna have to provide evidence, and she's gonna have to provide the truth of the stories. ... We're gonna see how consistent her testimony is with the actual facts of what transpired."
In the same interview, he also highlighted that the actor is someone who “wants to be vindicated, and that's all that he cares about."
"He knows what he's done. He knows what he hasn't done. And he wants the truth to come out, and he wants to do that in the appropriate way. ... He's waiting for his day in court, where he can speak out to tell the truth."
For the unversed, the trial is scheduled for March 2026, and both sides have shared their plans to testify.
