James Cameron, director of Avatar, has revealed if he will be directing the upcoming films in the franchise.
The 70-year-old has just teased the third sequel titled, Avatar: Fire and Ash.
In a recent interview, he opened what if feels like making a movie at the age of 70. He further addressed if he will continue as director for forth and fifth installment or he will be stepping away from the franchise.
Cameron will be turning 71 next month and it might be difficult for him to make movies with the growing age.
But, The Terminator creator’s passion and love for making movies is keeping him motivated.
James says “there is no reason to exit the franchise as he is healthy and good to go.”
While speaking with Empire, he said, “I mean, there's no reason not to. I’m healthy, I'm good to go. I’m not going to rule it out.”
“I mean, I've got to make it in a vigorous way, to handle the kind of volume and energy of the work for another six or seven years. You know what I mean? I might not be able to do that.”
The Canadian filmmaker further revealed that he has had a good working relationship. He opened that he helped Robert Rodriguez in writing Alita and he honoured what James wrote.
“If I can, I'll just do it”, concluded the Oscar wining director.
Avatar: Fire and Ash is coming out in theatres on December 19, 205.
