DC CEO James Gunn has officially addressed whether the David Corenswet’s Superman and Robert Pattinson’s Batman will be collaborating in a crossover film.
Pattinson took over the DC superhero role in 2022’s The Batman. He will reprise his role again in the 2027 sequel.
Meanwhile, Corenswet played Superman in the 2025 film, directed by Gunn.
Even though, the 58-year-old filmmaker had already given it thought, but he is not ready to commit to that kind of project for now.
In a statement, he told Entertainment Tonight, “I’ve met him [Pattinson] before, we’ve talked about it before. But it’s not what’s happening right now.”
James further added, “Everything is in flux, so we’ll figure out what we’re doing next.”
The Guardians of the Galaxy creator has already confirmed a new project named The Brave and the Bold after becoming the CEO of DC Studios.
While updating about it, Gunn said, “I mean, we’re working on a script. We have a screenwriter who is hammering away at it. I’m very involved, and so, you know, we’ll see what happens next. I wish I had more news for you, but I don’t.”
