Pete Davidson has recently shared his honest take on indie movie sets.
The Saturday Night Live alum made an appearance on Hot Ones where he said that there’s “not anything glamorous” if one is starring in independent movies.
Pete recalled working in TIFF 2024 indie crime comedy Riff Raff alongside Jennifer Coolidge, Ed Harris, Gabrielle Union, Lewis Pullman, Michael Angelo Corvino and Bill Murray.
“The movie we did — it’s a tough one because it’s an indie, so there’s no budget and there’s not anything glamorous about it,” admitted the 31-year-old.
The Suicide Squad actor noted, “No one makes money, no one’s comfortable, it’s strictly like for the art.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Pete also opened up about his experience working with his favourite icon, Bill.
“He was like kind of captain and kind of calming me down…He’s also my dad’s favourite actor so that was a cool thing,” continued The Rookie star.
Pete disclosed that his dad’s favourite movie about Bill was ‘Stripes,’ so he got to tell Bill that and that was really cool for me.
“He’s a total pro, man,” added the actor and comedian.
Earlier, Pete mentioned that once he co-hosted SNL with Jim Carrey for his first real sketch.
“I was so excited because he’s Jim, one of the legends…The sketch bombed to high heavens… and it’s online if you want to watch a 20-year-old crumble with his idol,” said the Guardians of the Galaxy actor.
