Sean 'Diddy' Combs seeks release after ‘heinous’ conviction
Diddy’s lawyers urge release ahead of October sentencing
Sean “Diddy” Combs’ lawyers have finally put their foot down in the case, urging the jury to consider his release ahead of sentencing.
The notorious rapper, who has been behind bars since September 2024, was recently found guilty of his involvement in prostitution-related activities.
Diddy’s legal team has requested that the federal judge release him before his sentencing in October 2025.
They argued that others who have committed similar offenses have not been incarcerated in the same manner as Diddy, who has already spent about ten months in jail.
Combs’ legal team stated, "Sean Combs should not be in jail for this conduct. In fact, he may be the only person currently in a United States jail for being any sort of john.
"Mr. Combs is incarcerated while everyone else involved in this identical conduct—his girlfriends, the [prostitutes], the agency's leaders, the porn stars, and others—walk free, as they should."
They suggested that if the court rules in their favor, the rapper would comply with the conditions, including a $50 million bail bond and travel restrictions.
