Eddie Murphy returns to voice Donkey in 'Shrek 5'
Eddie Murphy has shared exciting details about his upcoming projects that are in works.
The 64-year-old American comedian has already confirmed that he will be returning to voice the character of Donkey in the fifth sequel of Shrek.
Besides that, Murphy also opened that he will be starring the biopic of his music collective George Clinton.
In conversation with Al Roker on Today, the Beverly Hills Cop said, “I’m getting ready to do a [biopic of] George Clinton, [his music collective] Parliament-Funkadelic. I’m getting ready to do George Clinton.”
Meanwhile, he also teased his role in the next Pink Panther film.
“I’m going to be — I’m Inspector Clouseau in the next Pink Panther”, he shared.
Eddie further answered whether Clouseau will be French or not by saying, “Maybe. Well, he has to be French, but he could also be Haitian. I will tell you, he’s Black. He’s Black, for sure.”
Shrek 5 also features voices of Zendaya, Cameron Diaz, James Marsden and Mike Meyers.
Backed by Universal Pictures and directed by Walt Dohrn and Conrad Vernon, the new entry of the adventure comedy is slated to release globally on December 23, 2026.
