Pedro Pascal addresses comment about leading the ‘Avengers: Doomsday’
Hollywood actor sets the record straight on ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ movie
Pedro Pascal has recently addressed comment about Fantastic Four character leading the Avengers: Doomsday movie.
The Gladiator II actor revealed that Fantastic Four’s Reed Richards will not be leading the upcoming Avengers movie.
Pedro discussed Fantastic Four director Matt Shakman’s earlier interview where he said, “Pedro’s character goes from being the nerdy scientist who's locked away in the lab, to the husband and the father who'd do anything to protect his family, to the guy who's leading the Avengers.”
However, speaking to Associated Press, the Last of Us actor clarified that not quite the case.
“It's big news to me, for one,” he told the outlet.
Pedro pointed out that Matt “was doing an interview, and when he was speaking about Reed, there is something that happens within the comics, he's sort of... drawn in by the Avengers family and asked to be put in a leadership position”.
“But it is something that happens in the comics, it isn't necessarily something that my character's future entails,” explained the 50-year-old actor.
Interestingly, Pedro stated that he’s being “honest”.
“I'm not even trying to avoid spoilers. I'm just saying, it's a little bit of a... mislead,” added the Game of Thrones actor.
Meanwhile, The Fantastic Four: First Steps is in theatres now, while Avengers: Doomsday will release next year.
