Lindsay Lohan reveals she wanted to play Swedish-American actress in recent years
Jamie Lee Curtis has recently recommended her Freakier Friday costar Lindsay Lohan to play Ann-Margret in a biopic.
The True Lies actress shared her thought on Lindsay taking on the legacy of Ann-Margret during an appearance on Good Morning America for movie promotion on July 28.
“I’m going to out you now to the world — I want her to do the Ann-Margret story,” said the 66-year-old.
Halloween actress mentioned that every day on Instagram she “finds videos of her back in the day, and I send Lindsay every day videos of Ann-Margret”.
On the other hand, Ann-Margret also echoed the same sentiment and even agreed with Jamie.
“I know that Lindsay wants to do that,” remarked the 84-year-old in a candid interview with IndieWire.
Ann-Margret continued, “It just depends on what the dialogue is like. What can I say?”
Viva Las Vegas actress also praised Mean Girls actress, adding, “I adore her. I think she’s full of talent, and I just would like to see what they can come up with.”
Interestingly, this is not the first time Lindsay and Ann-Margret’s collaboration has been discussed.
Earlier in November 2024, the Irish Wish actress appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen where Lindsay shared an update on the biopic.
When host Andy asked the actress at the time, “Are you working on that? I know she gave her blessing for you to star in it.”
Parent Trap actress confirmed, “We’re working on the story. It’s exciting.”
She explained, “It’s gonna be pretty intense. It has to be the way that she wants it to be, so I really want it to be special in that way.”
Meanwhile, Lindsay all set for the release of Freakier Friday in theatres on August 8.
