David Corenswet explains difficulty of managing 'nature calls' in 'Superman' suit
Nicholas Hoult plays Lex Luthor in DCU debut film, 'Superman'
Superman actor David Corenswet has finally revealed how he managed to use a bathroom while wearing the costume.
The 31-year-old admitted that it was difficult each time when he had to use the loo.
However, they do make customize superhero costumes, but David opted against a suit with a zip close to his private parts. This means he had to run away from the sets immediately whenever nature called.
The Twisters actor opened that, “We tried the zipper, it wouldn’t work. It is quite intricate and it’s all on a knife’s edge, this suit stuff about they don’t have special zippers that function differently. It’s just a zipper.”
“They do make custom stuff for the suit. But a zipper’s a zipper and so it comes with trade-offs and in the end, the trade-off visually of trying to hide a zipper in a key place was not worth it.”
According to Daily Star, eventually David and his dresser Scotty figured out how to get out of the suit in “three and a half minutes.”
James Gunn’s directed Superman also features Nicholas Hoult, Rachel Brosnahan and Isabel Merced.
