Mikaela Hoover gets candid about friendship with Rachel Brosnahan

The Superman actress, Mikaela Hoover opened up about her tight bond with Lois Lane starrer Rachel Brosnahan.

Hoover, plays gossip columnist Cat Grant alongside Clark Kent and Lois, in the reboot film.

In an interview with People Magazine, the Guardians of the Galaxy star recalled, "I got the opportunity to get the closest to Rachel [Brosnahan] and I value that friendship so much."

While praising Brosnahan for her unwavering support, Hoover added, "She was a real champion for me through this entire movie, and I will be grateful to her for that."

She went on to shower her "love" on to the rest of the "entire cast," adding that "James Gunn has a knack for pulling together the best humans. I got close to a lot of the actors."

The Suicide Squad star also shared the process of getting to know about the character. 

The actress said that she researched the comic books to get into the character, although she was already familiar with Cat from Tracy Scoggins's portrayal in the 1990s television series Lois and Clark.

In addition to her, the Superman also starred Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Milly Alcock as Supergirl, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern and Edi Gathegi as Mr. Terrific.

The film is now running in theatres.
