James Gunn sets rumours straight about Alan Ritchson's casting as new DCU Batman
Robert Pattinson's 'Batman Part II' is slated to release in 2027
James Gunn has finally responded to the rumours about casting Reacher actor Alan Ritchson as the "Batman" of the DCU.
Ever since, Gunn and Peter Safran has been taped as the new DC Studios bosses, there were questions from fans asking who the new Superman will be.
However, the Man of Steel, under the new heads, have been established, but there are now increasing concerns about who will be play the Caped Crusader in James’ world.
Internet has going crazy over the speculation that Ritchson might take the titular role next.
The 58-year-old filmmaker has finally rested the rumours by officially responding over the matter in a statement.
In conversation with Collider, the Guardians of the Galaxy director said though he is a fan of Alan, but nothing has been decided yet.
"I haven't thought of casting yet. I am a big Alan Ritchson fan, both as an actor and as a guy... let's just wait to see what happens”, said Gunn.
The new DCU Batman movie has been reportedly titled as The Brave and the Bold.
Meanwhile, Robert Pattinson’s Batman sequel, written and directed by Matt Reeves, is set to release in 2027.
