Henry Cavill to return in James Gunn's DC Universe
David Corenswet takes over the 'Man of Steel' in Superman 2025
DC CEO James Gunn has finally addressed the chances of Henry Cavill’s return as the Superman.
Back in 2022, Cavill lost his role as Clark Kent when Peter Safran and Gunn were announced to be the new DC bosses.
To break the news to The Witcher actor that he will no longer be playing the superhero in the DC Universe was a challenge for the new heads.
“It’s terrible. Believe it or not, the day we were dealing with trying to figure out if we could take the job at DC Studios”, the 58-year-old filmmaker stated.
However, both the makers thought it was unfair to the actor and “a total bummer.”
Even though, David Corenswet is now the "Man of Steel" but there are chances that Henry might pop up in the new DCU.
The Superman director even confessed that he loves to bring in the 42-year-old British actor with "something".
“I talked to him about it on that day. I would love to put Henry in something”, James said on the Happy Sad Confused podcast.
The all new superhero movie featuring Corenswet has collected over $200 million at the box office.
