Rachel Brosnahan reveals how her ‘traveling curse’ ended ahead of ‘Superman’
Rachel Brosnahan opened up about her years of bad luck while traveling and how it affected her professional life.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star had a hard time traveling for the past 10 years until she received some help during the Superman press tour.
The Amateur actress, during an appearance at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, discussed about curse with the host.
"It's a miracle that we made it all over the world," she said abouT press tours that spammed over Asia, Europe and USA. "I have been suffering from a travel curse for the last 10 years."
The 35-year-old artists said that her travelling is more stressful than it is "humanly possible," adding, "Literally, Peter Safran, who co runs DC Studios, won't travel with me. He was like, 'I'm not getting on a plane with you.'"
She went on to explain the first time she remembered the incident happening was when "I was shooting a show in New Mexico and premiering a film at Cannes."
"They gave me 36 hours off the show to promote this film. I was on my way there, it was a beautiful day in May in sunny gorgeous New Mexico," she recalled.
Yet en route to airport on the highway Brosnahan was hit by a "apocalyptic snowstorm," she said that she "made it by the skin of my teeth."
She then shared that while traveling to Paris for Olympics last year she got "stuck in LAX for eight hours" due to losing her baggage and reservations, meanwhile her friends made it into their flights safely.
Brosnahan said that when it came to Superman tour she was "very worried" about it. "I got desperate so I asked if anyone knew like an energy healer or a past-life reader," she said.
The actress then jokingly recalled a witch, who travelled to Brosnahan's home to lift the curse. "She brought a wishing well and a wand," she said. "And she signed an NDA and we tackled the curse together."
Superman is now running in theatres.
