Collin Farrell bags first ever Emmy nomination for 'The Penguin'
Netflix has officially dropped the first look of Colin Farrell from his new film, Ballad of Small Player.
Farrell’s look seems quite captivating in the upcoming psychological thriller directed by Edward Berger, which is slated to release on October 29.
The streaming giant shared a series of images unveiling the first look. The wrote in the caption, “Here is your first look at Ballad Of A Small Player, directed by Edward Berger and starring Colin Farrell, Fala Chen and Tilda Swinton coming to select cinemas in October and on Netflix 29 October.”
Prior to this, the In Bruges actor unlocked a major achievement in his career as he received his first ever Emmy nod for his wonderful depiction of DC villain Penguin in a limited series of the same name.
The 49-year-old following the reveal of his nomination shared an update of the season two of the HBO backed crime show.
According to Farrell, “There’s literally not. If there was, and I was told to lie to you, I’d probably have to lie to you.”
“But genuinely, no. Because the show went well, of course, there’s been rumblings about, “Would we do a second season? What would that look like?” There is absolutely nothing in process”, the Irish actor told Variety.
