Ana de Armas has sparked interest in Hollywood with her recent comments on wanting to become a mother soon.

In an interview with F Magazine, the Blade Runner 2049 star expressed her desire to start a family, but also emphasised that the decision isn't solely hers to make.

"Yes, I'd like to have children and a family, soon if possible. But it's not just up to me," she said.

De Armas, 37, highlighted her strong protective instincts towards children, stating, "I have an immense protective instinct toward children, because they are defenseless and innocent beings who need adults to feel safe."

While discussing her aspirations, she also acknowledged the unpredictability of love and relationships, saying, "As we know, love is unpredictable; you never know when true love will arrive. Relationships can't be controlled: life isn't a movie."

This isn't the first time de Armas' desire for motherhood has been a topic of discussion in her relationships. Her past breakup with Ben Affleck was reportedly due to differing views on having children. Now, with her rumored romance with Tom Cruise, 63, her comments on motherhood have raised questions about their relationship's future.

The Blonde actress is currently enjoying a rising career in Hollywood, known for her versatility in playing diverse roles. She has recently starred in the John Wick spin-off Ballerina and has been praised for her commitment to performing action scenes.

Tom Cruise, who has been spotted supporting de Armas, shared a photo of the two together ahead of Ballerina's release, captioning it, "Your mission, should you choose to accept it: a weekend of action on the big screen."
