Liam Neeson has made a rare comment about himself prior to the release of his much-anticipated film, The Naked Gun.

The 73-year-old is globally acclaimed for playing action packed roles in his career.

The upcoming film features him in an unexpected, for which he also had doubts while filming.

Neeson confessed that didn’t find himself funny enough to feature in a film like The Naked Gun.

The Taken star was not sure if he had the comedy skills to pull off such an energetic and humorous character.

While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Liam shared, "During the whole shoot — I'm being very honest — I still did not know, when we wrapped at the end of each working day, whether it was working for me.”

According to him, "Pamela [Anderson], Paul [Walter Hauser], Danny [Huston], everybody else, I thought, were very funny.”

The Star Wars actor admitted that he couldn’t put a verdict on his own performance.

“I'd always ask Akiva (director), 'Are you sure it's working?' That continued from day one till we finished."

Backed by Paramount Pictures, the 2025 action-comedy features Neeson as Detective Frank Drebin Jr, who must solve a murder case to prevent the police department from shutting down.
