Charlize Theron, who is currently enjoying the success of her new film The Old Guard 2, has shared an update regarding a third sequel.
The 2025 action-adventure film backed by Netflix is a sequel to the 2020 movie of the same name.
The 49-year-old actress gave an update on the third entry, which might not seem to be very pleasing to fans.
According to the Fate and the Furious star, they are planning to take a break for a while and will come after some time to decide if they are willing make another film or not.
In an interview with Variety, Charlize stated, "We’re going to take a break, take a little breather, and then we’ll come back and decide."
She went on to say, "One thing I've learned in this business is that there are no guarantees, and it's really gracious of [Netflix] to not have pushed us into another direction.”
Theron did assure one thing that if she says she has no idea now about a new film, she is speaking the truth.
She said, "I'm being completely honest when I say that we have absolutely no idea what that [third film] would even look like."
Victoria Mahoney’s directed The Old Guard 2 also features KiKi Layne, Veronica Ngo, Henry Golding and Uma Thurman.
