Damson Idris recalled a small piece of career advice he received from his co-star and Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt on the set of F1.
Idris plays young racer, Joshua Pierce, who unwillingly receives training from Pitt's Sonny Hayes, a retired Formula 1 driver.
During the GQ magazine interview, when asked if Pitt had any advice for his co-star as he enters this next big phase in his career?
Idris replied, "We were at our Dior get together the other day, and Joe [Kosinski, the director of F1] goes, 'Have you got any advice for Damson?' And [Pitt] says, 'Just don’t crash, kid,'"
"That's all he said, and he walked off. I was like, what does that mean!? I had no idea what he meant… but I think I know [now]," he added.
The 33-year-old actor continued, "So I'm being humble. I'm really happy to be here."
Elsewhere during the interview, he also shared his experience of sudden stardom, saying that he is trying to keep his feet on the ground adding that "I'm my mother's son, and as long as I'm making her proud above everything, I know it'll work out."
In addition to Idris and Pitt the blockbuster film also stars, Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem and Lewis Hamilton.
