Jensen Ackles opened up about what it was like to reunite with his Supernatural co-stars Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins, who are set to play guest roles in The Boys final season.

Ackles, Padalecki and Collins all starred in the longest running North American sci-fi series (2005-2020), the Supernatural.

Ackles and Padalecki played Winchester brothers Dean and Sam respectively. Dean is skilled hunter of supernatural creators, meanwhile, Sam initially reluctant about hunting life eventually grows into becoming a powerful hunter.

Collins was later introduced in season four as Castiel, an angel of the Lord and becomes a close ally and friend of Winchester brothers.

In conversation with the People Magazine, Ackles, who joined The Boys in season three as a Solider Boy, reflected on his reunion with Padalecki and Collins.

"It was weird. It was like inviting my friends over to somebody else’s house for dinner," the Smallville actor said.

He added, "I was like, 'Listen, guys, don’t make me look bad. I got to stay here.' They were amazing. I can't wait to talk more about it because it was quite an experience."

When asked whether he had stayed in touch with the Gilmore Girls actor over the past five years, the Countdown star said, "We see each other more often than you would think honestly, at least once a month."

While taking about the success of Supernatural, the 47-year-old actor continued, "I don't think we ever, ever thought that it would become what it has become. I truly feel like it was just a lightning strike, and I’m proud of being part of it."

The Boys final season premiere date is yet to be announced, however, it is expected to air in 2026.
