Julian McMahon gets honoured by his 'Charmed', 'Nip/Tuck' and 'Fantastic Four' co-stars
Since Julian McMahon quietly lost his battle with cancer, fans and friends have been left heartbroken.
Social media has been flooded with heartfelt tributes from his admirers including messages from his co-stars from The Surfer, Charmed, Fantastic Four and Nip/Tuck.
Among others, Nicolas Cage, lauded his late The Surfer co-star as "the most talented of actors," after spending a total of six weeks with him on the set.
"Our scenes together on The Surfer were amongst my favorites I have ever participated in, and Julian is one of my favorite people. He was a kind and intelligent man," added Cage, with whom Julian made his last public appearance at SXSW in Austin, Texas back in March, as they promoted their new psychological thriller.
Julian’s Charmed co-starsRose McGowan and Holly Marie Combs expressed their grief via their repective Instagram trbutes.
Rose, who starred with Julian on the WB’s drama, shared a statement on her Instagram Story which read, "Oh Julian you force of brilliance, wild talent and humour. For you, your family and loving fans all over the world, I pray comfort."
Meanhwile Marie Combs remembered Julian as her "favorite pain in the ass ever," with behind-the-scenes videos of the late actor as Cole Turner, the demonic assassin Balthazar.
In addition, Alyssa Milano, who portrayed McMahon’s onscreen wife in Charmed, shared a moving tribute to her co-star, writing that he was "more than my TV husband" and a "dear friend."
Ioan Gruffudd, who played Mister Fantastic to his Doctor Doom in Fantastic Four (2005) and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007), also reacted to the "terribly sad news."
"Even though we played each other’s nemeses, there was always so much lightness and laughter working together. Every encounter with him was a joy," he wrote on Instagram.
Morever, Brian Krause, Julian’s Nip/Tuck co-star Kelly Carlson, Dylan Walsh, Uzo Aduba, Michael Chiklis-who played Ben Grimm in the Marvel movies-FBI franchise boss Dick Wolf and several more celebrities reacted to the news.
