David Corenswet has made a surprising confession ahead of the release of his much-anticipated film, Superman.
The 2025 action sci-fi movie will be introducing viewers with Corenswet’s depiction of Clark Kent.
But what many might not know is that the 31-year-old found it difficult to make the decision of playing Superman. He has admitted that it was not easy for him to decide.
David confessed that he had "hesitation". There was a lot of "thinking and conversations" involved before agreeing to do the film.
He told Collider, “I always hesitate. Hesitate is not quite the right word, but I paused, and I really thought about it. It was not a no brainer to say yes to it.”
“It took a lot of my brains, and a lot of thinking, and a lot of conversations with my loved ones to see whether this was a thing that was worth doing”, said the Twisters actor.
The hesitation was not just about taking up the role of the cape crusader, but it was also about the fame, commitment and scrutiny that comes along with it.
David admitted that he has been often told that this going to change your life, but he still believes that it was at least “a risk worth taking.”
James Gunn’s directed Superman is set to release on July 11.
