'The Old Guard 2' director reveals special quality about Charlize Theron
Charlize Theron to return as Cipher in 'Fast X: Part 2'
Charlize Theron, globally acclaimed as playing Cipher in the Fast Saga, has a unique quality that has always impressed director Victoria Mahoney.
The director actor duo recently collaborated in an action-packed film titled The Old Guard 2, that showcases the 49-year-old actress performing some extremely intense fight sequences.
In conversation with Deadline, Victoria praised Charlize for her great dedication and whole-heartedness for the project.
According to her, the Mad Max: Fury Road actress gives her "1000 percent" to every scene and that is something really electrifying to see in person.
In a statement, Yelling to the Sky director added, "The thing about Charlize is, she comes hard, and she dedicates 1,000 percent of herself to every sequence, whether it’s trauma or action, and it’s visible.”
"People know that, for many years we’ve all seen it, and we’ve witnessed it. But there is something really electrifying to see it up close in person, and she doesn’t leave anything on the field, as we say”, she explained.
The Old Guard 2 is a sequel to the 2020 film of the same name, which also starred Theron in the lead role.
It also featured KiKi Layne, Veronica Ngo, Harry Melling and Luca Marinelli.
