Julia Roberts goes camping with Danny Moder for 23rd wedding anniversary

Julia Roberts and Danny Moder are celebrating their 23rd wedding anniversary in their signature style.

On Friday, July 4, the Oscar winner, 57, took to Instagram to commemorate the special day with the cinematographer, 54, with a cosy picture and some sweet words. The couple seemingly chose to keep things simple — just like their secret wedding — opting for a quiet camping getaway to celebrate both their anniversary and Independence Day.

The Pretty Woman star shared a photo taken from their POV inside a tent, their feet poking out as they enjoyed the serene view of a river.

“You + Me = 23,” she wrote in the caption.

Roberts and Moder met in 2000 on the set of The Mexican, but both were involved with other people at the time. 

“He sorted his whole thing out, separate and apart from me. And I sorted my life out, separate and apart from him,” Roberts clarified on the Oprah Winfrey Show in 2003 — a year after they got married.

They quietly tied the knot on July 4, 2002, at her ranch in New Mexico. Even their 60 guests didn’t know it was a wedding until they arrived.

Now, 23 years and three kids later — Henry, 18, and twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 20 — the couple is still going strong.

“He's my favorite person on the planet,” Roberts told People magazine in 2015. “I love spending time with him… His point of view is really valuable to me.”
