Brad Pitt shares his honest take on sports movies after ‘F1’ success
Hollywood heartthrob reveals his inspiration for making sports movies
Brad Pitt has recently showed his interest in making a sports movie after the success of F1.
The Troy star appeared on July 2 episode of the New Heights podcast, hosted by Taylor Swift’s beau Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce.
During their conversation, Brad shared his honest take on sports movies and if he would like to do another one.
The Oscar winner responded, “I love a sports movie when they work.”
“It’s the greatest. I look back at Gene Hackman and Hoosiers and [Robert] Redford and The Natural, there’s even something more,” explained the 61-year-old.
The Fight Club actor noted, “Sports for me, even one game is an entire lifetime.”
Interestingly, Brad also revealed that he drew inspiration from professional sportsmen like Kelce’s brother.
“We watch you guys; we watch your fate. We watch how you deal with adversity, how you fight through it and it’s really an amazing metaphor for a lifetime,” pointed out the Se7en actor.
Brad also opened up that he used to like 2011 movie Moneyball prior to F1 release this year.
The actor believed that all great sports movies, “when they’re great, there’s also a story there”.
“You’re moved by it. And were funny. So, we got that to deliver it, but this kind of spiritual ending to it all, I’m really proud about,” added Brad.
Elsewhere in the podcast, the Wolfs actor also confessed he enjoyed watching the young lot of actors in the movies.
“I like to see what they are up against and the way they negotiate and work their way through it. They enjoy it more,” he stated.
