David Corenswet has exclusively spoken about his depiction of Superman in upcoming James Gunn directorial.
The Twisters actor will be playing dual role of Clark Kent and his Kryptonian alter-ego.
While addressing at the red-carpet event in London’s Leicester Square, David shared his experience of portraying the character.
The 31-year-old admitted that he tried to make it his "own" character.
He told PA News agency, "I wish I could just give the great performances that have come before, but I couldn't help but do my own thing.”
According to Corenswet, there is so much love and history in the character which he wanted to keep intact.
He opened, "So that sort of came for free, and I just had the great opportunity to maybe explore some different forms of the character and hopefully bring him to a new generation who maybe haven't had their first Superman experience."
The all-new Superman movie is set to feature David alongside Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Milly Alcock and others.
Backed by Warner Bros, the action sci-fi is slated to release on July 11.
