Miley Cyrus 'Something Beautiful' film is set to hit Disney+
Miley Cyrus has taken the internet by storm after revealing that the film based on her new album Something Beautiful is making its way to Disney+.
The former Disney star, known for her iconic role as Hannah Montana, is releasing a visual film that features her 13-brand new tracks from the album.
Miley Cyrus: Something Beautiful – produced by Miley Cyrus, XYZ Films, and Panos Cosmatos – is described as “a one-of-a-kind pop opera fueled by fantasy”.
This announcement follows the release of the 32-year-old singer’s ninth studio album, Something Beautiful, which dropped on Friday, May 30.
The Flowers hitmaker unveiled the new album at a listening party in California, saying, “My next album is about to be extremely experimental, so have fun with that.”
While performing, she elaborated on its theme, “It is about taking these experiences, even when they’re painful or we want to throw them away because they’re just too much to bear, and wrapping them in beautiful bows and ribbons and appreciating all these gifts and experiences that we can’t understand how they’re going to serve us later in our life.”
The visual album premiered at the Tribeca Festival on Tuesday, June 6, ahead of its theatrical release in the US and Canada on Monday, June 12.
The film is set to stream on Disney+ and Hulu on Wednesday, July 16.
