Prince Andrew is seemingly left at the mercy of his nephew, Prince William, as King Charles ‘relieved’ to give important power to his son.
The monarch, who has been in an ongoing row with his disgraced brother, has finally given up on the back-and-forth and ultimately given the choice to William – who is drawing a hard line for the Duke of York.
Tensions only seem to be beginning for Andrew as William is a “shrewd operator” and is determined to “banish” anyone who poses a threat to the monarchy, according to royal expert Helena Chard.
She maintained that “Andrew will not have a formal role in Prince William’s future modernised, streamlined, monarchy”.
According to royal expert Hilary Fordwich, The king is “both relieved and delighted” that William is already taking on a no-nonsense stance.
“His uncle Andrew’s reckless conduct has put the family in jeopardy,” Fordwich told Fox News Digital. “He won’t and can’t risk public association with such a disastrous member of the family who merely serves as a distraction from public duty.”
Andrew has been embroiled in a slew of scandals, starting from the Jeffery Epstein association and the sex scandal that left him stripped off of his royal titles and patronages in 2019. His latest Chinese spy scandal, at the end of last year, caused a national security matter, leading the King to ‘uninvite’ him from the private Christmas celebrations.
Fordwich shared that King Charles is pleased that William has “taken such a dutiful, dedicated approach to the monarchy”.
“He’s not the playboy of many past Princes of Wales, ancestors of his who didn’t either take the role seriously and/or were defined by debauchery,” she continued. “Prince William is unwavering in his determination to keep Andrew permanently sidelined from royal life, including being excluded from the recent major ceremonies Garter Day and Trooping the Colour.”
