Anne Hathaway's 'The Devil Wears Prada 2' gets fresh update
Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt to reprise their roles in upcoming sequel
Anne Hathway will be returning for the sequel of her globally acclaimed movie, The Devil Wears Prada.
The 2006 comedy drama featured her along with Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Adrian Grenier and others.
Anne starrer follows the story of young aspiring journalist Andy, who moves to New York after graduating. She starts working as an assistant with city’s biggest magazine editor, Miranda Priestly.
With the sequel confirmed, production company 20th Century Fox shared that the film has entered "production."
“The Devil Wears Prada 2. Now in production”, they wrote. The studio also dropped a catchy video featuring two red forked heels from the original cover of the movie.
The Intern star is set to return with Streep, Tucci and Blunt for the new entry. Meanwhile, Kenneth Branagh has also joined the star cast.
As per Variety, the new installment will focus on Miranda, “as she navigates her career amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing and as she faces off against Blunt’s character, now a high-powered executive for a luxury group with advertising dollars that Priestly desperately needs.”
Hathaway’s The Devil Wears Prada 2 is expected to come out on May 1, 2026.
