'Fast & Furious 11' is set to release in April 2027
Vin Diesel has confirmed that late Paul Walker’s famous character as Brian O’Conner will be returning in the finale movie of the Fast Saga.
Yesterday, the 58-year-old shared at an event that Universal Studios asked him “if they could have the finale of Fast & Furious in April”, to which he replied by putting forward “three conditions.”
"First, is to bring the franchise back to LA! The second thing was to return to the car culture, to the street racing. The third thing was reuniting Dom and Brian O'Conner”, Vin revealed.
The news left fans divided on the internet with some thinking that the idea is good. Meanwhile, some fans believe they took enough time to bring Brian back.
One user wrote on Reddit, "From the production point, story, and even the fans. Paul/Brian is very popular, everyone loved the goodbye in F7, but now enough time has passed to bring him back."
"It was inevitable and imo the right decision," another noted.
A third fan commented, "I think it makes sense to bring Brian back into the story now, especially if the next movie is going to be the last one in the franchise. I'm curious to know how they plan to do it."
Fast and Furious 11 will not mark as the first posthumous appearance of the late actor in the series.
The 2015 film included a scene where Brian and Dom drive off in directions in the final cut.
