Dakota Johnson found comfort in an old friend as she navigates life after breakup with longtime partner Chris Martin.

The Fifty Shades of Grey star was spotted leaning on longtime pal Kate Hudson over the weekend, following her reported split from Coldplay frontman after nearly eight years together.

The newly single actress looked effortlessly chic as she stepped out for dinner with the Almost Famous star.

The Materialists lead donned a beige chiffon tank top adorned with orange, red, and blue embroidered flowers. She paired the look with loose-fitting jeans and black kitten-heel sandals.

She wore her signature brunette locks straight with her bangs covering her forehead. Dakota had neutral makeup with a soft, muted pink lip completing the fresh-faced look.

As the two walked side by side through a cobblestone plaza, Dakota was seen holding hands with Kate. 

Despite the recent breakup, the Persuasion star appeared to be in high spirits, flashing smiles throughout the evening.

Meanwhile, Kate brought her usual California-cool flair to the night out, turning heads in a strappy black sundress with a plunging neckline.

She accessorised with a bold red-print scarf instead of a necklace and pulled back her blonde hair in a loose updo. A pair of high-heeled sandals completed her elegant ensemble.

Though Dakota is fresh off her split from Martin, the actress seemed happy as she received the best kind of therapy: Girl's night out.
