Jared Leto goes into damage control after bombshell allegations
Jared Leto tries to protect his image ahead of 'Tron: Ares' release
Jared Leto, who has been hit by allegations of sexual misconduct, is trying to minimize the damage to his reputation as his new movie is, Tron: Ares, is on the horizon.
The 53-year-old actor is reportedly engaged in “crisis talks” as he tries to promote the movie without the accusations hindering its reputation.
Nine women have accused Leto of se--al misconduct, one of whom was allegedly 16 at the time of the incident.
The Oscar-winning actor, whose new movie is set to hit the cinemas on October 10, has denied the claims made by the women.
After strongly dismissing the claims, the actor is now working with Disney’s marketing team to continue damage ahead of the premiere.
"Jared wants it to be business as usual ahead of the release of his new movie, but Disney is nervous about the promotion of Tron. The accusations of sexual misconduct couldn't have come at a worse time," a source told RadarOnline.
The source went on to add that Disney has scheduled to arrange a panel at San Diego Comic-Con later this month.
Although Leto is adamant on dismissing the situation, sources shared that he is engaged in discussions about how to go about the allegations.
The source continued, "He doesn't want to hide away, having denied the allegations, and not only is he the lead, he's one of the producers."
It remains to be seen if the damage control strategies would be able to protect the movie from being overshadowed by the crisis.
