Charlize Theron has recently dished out major update about her upcoming movie, The Odyssey.
The Mad Max: Fury Road star confirmed that she’s going to star in the forthcoming movie but she hasn’t started shooting any scenes as of yet.
While speaking at her Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project Block Party over the weekend, the actress responded to what it was like walking on the set.
Charlize told Variety, “I haven’t… I leave in a couple of weeks.”
It is pertinent to mention that the 49-year-old actress is among a star-studded cast for the Christopher Nolan-directed movie adaptation of the classic poem by Homer.
When a journalist asked how she prepares to play the goddess of sorcery, aka Circe, the Old Guard 2 actress revealed, “I don’t know. I’m just going to talk to Chris about it and we’ll see where it goes.”
“It’s super intimidating. I’m like the last one to show up,” remarked the Fast X actress.
Therefore, Charlize added, “I’ll be like the new kid on the block, and everybody will know what they’re doing and not me.”
Interestingly, filming on the upcoming project started earlier this year in February.
The first look photo was launched of Matt Damon who’s going to play the leading character in the movie.
Nevertheless, Tom Holland also spotted on the set in Greece, filming with Matt, while his girlfriend Zendaya also filmed back in March.
Meanwhile, the new Odyssey movie will hit the theatres in July 2026.
