King Charles' 'secret weapon' Duchess Sophie to begin special royal engagement
Royal family issued a major update on Duchess Sophie's special royal engagement after Prince William's big plans for Edingburghs were revealed.
The Duchess of Edinburgh is set to step out to represent the royal family at a fashion show today, June 30.
As per the royal family's official website, Sophie will "attend The Community Brain Fashion Show at RHS Hampton Court Garden Festival, Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey, Surrey."
The mother-of-two, who is now famously known as King Charles' 'secret weapon,' has been making it to the headlines since she stepped up to strengthen the monarchy, especially after the monarch and Princess Kate's cancer diagnosis.
There are reports that Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie's roles will be upgraded during Prince William's reign.
Previously, The Sun reported, "Undoubtedly she [Sophie] is going to play an important role in the future."
An insider said, "William feels that Edward and Sophie are need- ed. The important work that they do is seen."
Duchess Sophie is also "keen" to take on more challenging roles and significant tasks in order to support King Charles and the future King William.
