Will Smith hints at viral Chris Rock slap moment in new song
Will Smith pokes fun at Chris Rock Oscars slap on freestyle
Will Smith looked back at his viral Oscars altercation with Chris Rock in a new freestyle he attempted.
The 56-year-old rapper joined British DJ Charlie Sloth at his show, Fire in the Booth, earlier this week where hinted at the 2022 feud.
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star rapped, “If you talking crazy out your face up on the stage and disrespect me on the stage, expect me on the stage,” referring to the Oscar 2022 ceremony where he got up on the stage when Rock joked about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.
“Jokers dish it out, cry foul when it’s time to take it/ City full of real ones, wasn’t raised to fake it,” Smith continued.
When the comedian, 60, joked about Pinkett Smith’s hairloss, who has been open about her alopecia.
"Keep my wife's name out your f---ing mouth!" Smith shouted at the stage at Rock after getting up there to strike him across the face, on live television.
Following the viral moment, Smith took to Instagram and apologised to Rock, "Violence in all of its forms is poisonous and destructive. My behavior at last night's Academy Awards was unacceptable and inexcusable. Jokes at my expense are a part of the job, but a joke about Jada's medical condition was too much for me to bear and I reacted emotionally."
