Kate Winslet has parted ways with her upcoming Hulu series, The Spot, due to creative differences.

The 49-year-old actress was set to star in and executive produce the A24 production, which follows a surgeon suspected of being responsible for a hit-and-run death of a local child. Her husband, a school teacher, tries to uncover the truth, only to discover dark secrets that test their marriage.

Production on the series has been put on hold, and it's expected to resume in early 2026 after a replacement for Winslet's character is cast.

The show was developed by Ed Solomon, known for his work on Men in Black and Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure.

This departure comes after Winslet's notable performances in HBO's Mare of Easttown and The Regime

She was also set to star in another HBO series, Trust, which is currently in development.

Winslet's production company, Juggle Productions, is co-producing The Spot with A24 and 20th Television.
