Emma Stone is set to dive into another wild ride of Yorgos Lanthimos, as she gets teased in the first preview of their upcoming film Bugonia.
The Poor Things actress, who won an Academy Award for her role in the 2023 comedy-fantasy, reunites for the fourth time with the Greek filmmaker.
On Thursday, June 26, Focus Features released the teaser for the upcoming sci-fi-comedy, which features Stone, 36, alongside Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis, Stavros Halkias, and Alicia Silverstone.
According to the official synopsis, “Two conspiracy-obsessed young men kidnap the high-powered CEO of a major company, convinced that she is an alien intent on destroying planet Earth.”
In the teaser, Plemons’ character, Teddy Gatz, appears in a beekeepers’ suit, surrounded by bees, as he narrates, “It all starts with something magnificent: a flower, then a honey bee. The workers gather pollen for the queen….”
The Cruella star was most recently seen in Eddington, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2025 ahead of its theatrical release.
Bugonia, co-produced by Stone and Lanthimos, will be released nationwide on October 31, 2025.
