Damson Idris shares rare insight into his bond with ‘F1’ costar Brad Pitt

Damson Idris has recently shared rare insight into his bond with Brad Pitt while working on F1 movie.

In a new interview with US Weekly, the actor, who plays racing rookie Joshua Pearce in the action flick, praised the Troy star, calling him a “meaningful mentor”.

“Brad is just such an amazing, giving, humble human being, and he constantly wants you to win,” said the 33-year-old.

Damson told the outlet, “The best thing I got from Brad is like the movie, which is so funny: Forget about the noise and focus on the race.”

“Anytime you have ups and downs in life, like clouds, they too shall pass. I think that’s the greatest piece of advice I got from Brad is to just focus on the goal: telling great stories and being a part of great movies,” revealed the Snowfall alum.

Elsewhere in the interview, Damson opened up about competing against Brad on the racing track in the movie.

“We were both so fast, honestly. We both drove up to 180 miles per hour. I’m going to say, because he rides bikes, he’s just really good. He’s, like, an adrenaline junkie,” stated the Astral actor.

However, Damson pointed out that as soon as they both got out of the car, they were sad.

“We put so much into it and we saw the progress over all the months of training. But I would love to get behind a wheel one day with him and see who’s really quicker,” he added.
