Timothée Chalamet, who is dating Kylie Jenner, has recently been keeping a distance from his girlfriend’s family.
Sources close to the Kardashian clan revealed that Kylie’s inner circle called Wonka star antisocial and snobby because of his poor bond with Kardashian clan, via RadarOnline.com.
“He appreciates that Kylie's family is trying to get to know him,” said an insider.
However, the source noted that Timothée “is wise enough to be aware that they almost certainly have ulterior motives, like getting him onto The Kardashians or using his name and connections for networking purposes”.
The Dune actor’s distant behaviour had also been observed by Kylie’s mother Kris Jenner and her sisters, Kim and Khloe Kardashian.
Despite his relationship with Kylie, Timothée intentionally avoided attending his girlfriend’s gatherings, skipping trips and events that usually featured in the family’s reality show.
Another insider noted that Timothée is tentative of the Kardashian-Jenner media machine.
“Timothée seen the likes of Caitlyn Jenner, Kanye West, Lamar Odom and so many other dudes who've been ruined once Kris got her claws into them,” claimed a source.
The insider added, “He'll be damned if that's his path.”
Interestingly, Timothée and Kylie’s relationship is still going strong as the first source pointed out, “He's getting a ton of free PR by dating Kylie.”
But when it comes to fully mixing with the Kardashian world, the actor tries to avoid it.
Meanwhile, Timothée’s loved ones also suggested the actor that dating a reality TV star like Kylie could negatively impact his public image and career.
But he doesn’t care and stands firm on his decision, as one source stated, “He's got a very smart head on his shoulders.”
