The McGraw sisters, Violet and Madeleine, are making waves in the film industry. Violet, 14, starred in Blumhouse/Atomic Monster's techno horror-comedy, M3GAN, while her sister Madeleine, 16, appeared in the supernatural horror film, The Black Phone.
Both films were huge successes, grossing over $343 million worldwide.
The success of the films led to the greenlighting of sequels, including M3GAN 2.0, which hits theaters on June 27.
In the sequel, Violet reprises her role as Cady, a 12-year-old who's still at odds with her aunt Gemma (Allison Williams) over technology usage. "Cady is definitely getting more into tech after the first movie, but Gemma isn’t a big fan of that because she doesn’t want Cady to turn into her or make another M3GAN for that matter," Violet tells The Hollywood Reporter.
Violet admits that she didn't know much about AI before filming M3GAN, but now she's more cautious. "I became more cautious of AI because of M3GAN. It scares me a little bit, and I never would’ve thought of it that way if I wasn’t in M3GAN."
Despite this, she's a fan of the sassy robot and has become friends with M3GAN's on-set performer, Amie Donald.
The McGraw sisters have their own production company and have already produced two films, including The Curse of the Necklace and High Stakes Holiday.
"This is totally just the beginning of it, and if we’ve produced two movies already, I think we can definitely go further," Violet says.
Both sisters are eager to continue working together and exploring their behind-the-camera ambitions.
