Marvel stars Robert Downey Jr and Pedro Pascal sing praises for each other
Robert Downey Jr. has recently made bold declaration about Pedro Pascal.
The two actors, who are set to face off against each other in the upcoming Marvel movie Avengers: Doomsday, got close on the set during “homework days” that was arranged by Iron Man actor at his abode for the cast to workshop scenes.
Gushing over Pedro, Robert, who is playing the villain Doctor Doom Doom in a new Avengers movie, told Vanity Fair, “Pascal’s slow trajectory to becoming a household name who is on a wildly hot streak kind of reaffirms my faith in our industry.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Pedro, who will reprise his Fantastic Four role Reed Richards, also spoke up about Robert.
“He’s just so immediately generous and inviting that you feel like you can be afraid, you can be hungry, you can be ambivalent,” stated the Last of Us star.
Interestingly, Pedro revealed he knew about the “disgruntlement” around his casting in the new movie.
The Gladiator II actor mentioned that people would complain about his age, saying, “He’s too old. He’s not right. He needs to shave.”
But Pedro added that he only turned to Robert during these difficult times and remained committed to his Marvel role.
Meanwhile, the new Marvel movie, which will release in December 2026, has been filming this summer at Pinewood Studios in the UK.
