Pedro Pascal has recently opened up about his struggling years for not finding success in his 20s and 30s.
In a new interview with Vanity Fair, the Gladiator II actor revealed he once considered becoming a nurse during his “give up” years in his 30s while in New York.
“In my 30s I was supposed to have a career,” said the 29-year-old.
Pedro mentioned that his past 29 years without a career meant that it was over, definitely.
However, the Materialits’ friends and family would never allow him to give in his dream to be a star.
“When Pedro would say, ‘I’m going to nursing school’ or ‘I’m going to be a theatre teacher,’ it was just like ‘No, no, no, no! You’re too good!’” revealed Pedro’s older sister, Javiera Balmaceda, who also works as a producer at Amazon Studios.
She recalled Pedro always “wanted to be an actor since he was four years old. The one thing we’d never allow him to do was give up”.
The Last of Us star noted that he would not have been the best nurse if he did go that route for his career.
“I’d be a selective nurse, like I was as a waiter,” he remarked.
Before concluding, Pedro told the outlet, “I’d fall in love with some patients and hate others. And that poor patient that I hated!”
