Pedro Pascal receives criticism on his casting in the new Marvel movie
Pedro Pascal has finally spoken up on the criticism surrounding his casting the new Fantastic Four film.
The Last of Us famed star is very well-aware of the fact that he has distractors around him as some called him “too old” for the role of Reed Richards.
Some also called for him to trim his facial hair. But he believes in ignoring all the censure and focus on what makes him happy.
"I’m more aware of disgruntlement around my casting than anything I’ve ever done”, he said.
Pascal recalled people telling him, "'He’s too old. He’s not right. He needs to shave.'"
Despite all the distraction, the 50-year-old star is excited for the release on The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
In conversation with Vanity Fair, the Gladiator II actor added, "I’m getting an inkling of excitement because it seems to reflect what our common goal was, and what we want to share, which is all of our f****** hearts on a platter within this genre."
Pedro is all set to mark his debut in the MCU with Mister
Fantastic. The all new action sci-fi is slated to release on July 25 starring Pascal along with Vanessa Kirby, Jospeph Quinn and Julia Garner.
