Damson Idris reveals major life-changing event after starring in ‘F1’

Damson Idris opened up about his one significant life changing moment he experienced following his role in upcoming F1.

In the star-studded film, Idris played Joshua Pierce, a young F1 driver and teammate of Brad Pitt’s character Sonny Hayes, a former Formula 1 driver who returned to race tracks after decades.

During the F1 premiere, held in New York City Times Square, the Outside the Wire star revealed to People Magazine that due to speed driving in the film, he started to drive quite differently in real life.

"I'm not going to lie, it actually made me drive a lot safer," he said.

Idris, who drove up to 180 mph while shooting scenes for the movie, expressed his amazement for the original F1 drivers, adding, "I have so much respect for F1 drivers and the speeds that they reach and the amount of pressure that they're under while they reach those speeds."

He continued, "So yeah, now when I'm in the car, I'm definitely just cruising and minding my business."

In addition to Idris and Pitt, the film also includes Javier Bardem, Kerry Condon. and was co-produced by Lewis Hamilton, the seven-time Formula 1 world champion.

F1 is slated to release worldwide on June 27.
